    Great pics
Connacht are a super side. Connacht have been producing fantastic sides at all underage levels the past few seasons and are moving closer and closer to the other provinces and ahead of them in some aspects.

Munster beat Ulster in Musgrave 24-6 today with some pics here from INPHO with pics of Connacht Leinster from Sportsfile here

Ulster have a player called Jack McCool?

I hope he makes it as a pro...

It is a good Connacht side. I was very impressed to see Dan Parks helping out with the coaching. Great to see from a professional.

Highlights of Leinster Youths games over past 3 weeks

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,967 ✭✭✭✭The Lost Sheep

Irish squads have been picked at youths and 19s levels for the upcoming training camps. You can see some names of players involved if you check different clubs websites, twitter accounts etc

IRFU just tweeted that National Performance Nutritionist Ruth Wood will be on radio 1s drivetime at 5.35 this evening to talk supplements & risks for young players. Should be interesting discussion for anyone who either has kids playing in underage rugby or is coaching etc and maybe is asked for advice by players

All Leinster league fixtures/results are now up on leinster website for under 13, 14, 15, 17 and under 19 levels

No results from these games but the North Midlands who were not playing in last weeks round of games beat Newbridge College's Junior Cup team tonight 34-5

Irish Exiles under 18s that played this seasons interpros that drew with Munster before beating the other 3 provinces play the Welsh Exiles Sunday in London Irish, Sunbury on Sunday. Should be good test and another chance for Exiles to impress ahead of Irish Youths next squad meet up

Munster under 19s play Cork Con under 20s in CIT Friday night as they prepare for the game against Australia in a few weeks time. Decent number of youths players should be involved

Some leagues in Munster are at or approaching the knock out stages and will soon have the qualifiers for the Pan Munster League ready

fair points on underage rugby from him but at the same time the standards in schools and youths rugby is much better now than what it was and In both schools and youths rugby the top sides are catching up and not just playing 10 man rugby and the skills and developing backs etc is happening much more

How are underage leagues in your area going backgreen? Any sides looking strong at older age groups? Any potential provincial champions?

I think this was definitely true in the past, and you can see that some of the basic skills of our top players, particularly forwards, mightn't be on the same level as those in the Southern Hemisphere.

However, I think this has changed... in the last few JWCs, we've had some really skilful players who have shown they have the ability to at least match those of the SH teams.

Although the team that came 5th did perhaps lack some class backs, was built around a great pack, but the basic skill levels of the likes of Gilsenan, Henderson, Coughlan, Conan, Scannell, etc is probably on average, higher than those that have gone before.

6 by my count which isn't bad.

Provincial leagues beginning to get to important stages with in Munster the qualifiers for Pan Munster nearly decided or decided depending on the region. In East Munster at Under 18 Nenagh, Waterpark, Clanwilliam and Galbally have qualified while at Under 16 Waterpark, Kilfeacle, Dungarvan and Fethard have qualified.

    2 Ulster
    2 Connacht

Good representation by Munster. Kieran Joyce is younger brother of Conor who is in Ulster's academy. Josh Barnes is younger brother of Danny Barnes, former Munster player.
Good mix of clubs. Clonakilty have a player at this level for several years. There was a time when theyd have 2/3 in irish squads every year. They didn't have a player in squads for a few years
Sam Arnold has been playing a small bit with Harlequins A side in A premiership.. Great potential in this group

No idea. Look it up yourself(look 8/9 years ago and work around 2005/2006 as a base and look at the years before that)
