    Hello ,
    Im living in Mountmellick currently and i am just wondering if anybody knows if there's any plans for broadband in Mountmellick.
    only reason I really ask is that my friend recently moved to Portlaoise and i was surprised to see such available just ten minutes away, such as UPC up to 30 Meg broadband or even ngb from eircom.

    Basicly I'd like to know is there any plans for something such as fibre optic broadband coming to the area.

    Hi ya, I doubt it very much in the present climate waiting 20 years or more for a relief road lol and looks like it could be another 20 .
