Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    First can you get rent allowance while getting JSA?

    Secondly are there landlords that can reject you accommodation that is paid by rent allowance or is that illegal?

    first, yes it is possible to get rent allowance while on JSA, but it is not your automatic entitlement.

    second, yes a landlord is entitled to refuse accomodation to a tenant in receipt of rent allowance. a landlord does not have to give you a reason when he turns you down for a property. when looking at properties to rent save wasting time by inquiring before you even go to view the property about whether or not the landlord takes rent allowance recipients.
