Blockboard - Screws

    I'm hinging the attic trapdoor to open down and its 1/2" blockboard. Would ordinary wood screws do or maybe chipboard screws, what would be best.

    i would consider a few 4mm bolts due to the application; u can c/sink the heads and fill and paint if using zinc plated, if cup head brass wont pass muster
