SD Card damaged and any recommendations?

I have an 8gb SD memory card. I was putting it into one of the slots to get pics onto my com and basically chipped the edge of the card, now it doesn't seem to be reading in any devise I put it into.

I was wondering if anyone knows anyone who fixes this issue on the cheap, or can it be actually fixed? Thankfully the vast majority of pics taken on it are already backed up but I have a couple of hundred pretty important pics that I need to get.

Also does anyone know where I can get a similar replacement card at a reasonable price?

I tried fix one before, not easy, plastic very thin, maybe a bit of epoxy might fill in where the plactic broke

sd cards are cheap enough

You could try 'Back from the future', i think they are on Georges Street. Generally they fix laptops etc but im sure they will know someone! ALso there is a similar place on camden street, opposite side to Flannerys and up towards the Bleeding Horse!

If the shots you want are on the card and you can see them on the camera screen just plug your camera into computer to download them that way, then bin the card, they are not worth "fixing" you will never trust it again anyway.
