You know you're an awful team when John Terry can act as playmaker against you.

Look at it again, he is in mid air when the first real contact is made, he touches him orginally but Young falls over like a leaf and gets caught in him mid air.

Terrible start for the Welsh, plenty of time, it was a peno tho unfortunately

    Shocking from the Welsh fans.

It's called an atmosphere and sadly there's not enough games with an atmosphere in UK football any more.

The match day experience in the UK has been crippled by too many people being part of the ''sit down and shut up'' brigade.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

England looking really up for this.

    LOL @ Wales fans.

Booing a national anthem isnt "atmosphere", its being a tit.

Booing a national anthem is a joke - why don't they just out sing them with their own songs?

Its not that hard to understand re: anthems. Many Welsh/Scottish/NI people done consider themselves to be British.

Feel sorry for the decent Wales fans - it's like watching a non-league team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

There's why Capello was wrong to leave Bent out of the squad to South Africa.

He tries to justify the decision by saying he's now a different player at Villa, when in reality he's doing the very same things and would have offered England the exact same thing last summer as he does now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Can't fault England and they way they've played for these first 20 minutes.

    All too easy.

With all that said, "Are Capello and England done?" :pac:

take the plunge mate and go for one of the paid streaming options. Far superior, never drops, always in English etc and only 6 quid for 2 months.

    Save the Wales.

    Coats on :pac:.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

England could get 10 goals here, if they wanted.

I guess this is what usually happens when you make a guy with very little managerial experience of any kind, the national manager

Would you not say it has something to do with their players and calibre of opposition?

It's a foregone conclusion that if THE GREATEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD was playing for Wales, the scoreline wouldn't be like this.

What about Jurgen Klinsmann and Germany at WC
    2006?

    It works out well sometimes..

    Same story as always mate.

Qualify at a canter, everyone from the players right down to the supporters dogs start thinking they will win the thing, and then they get beat when they play a decent, organised team.

It will be no different this time. They'll qualify easily, get an easy group on paper, struggle in that but go through, and then lose in the last 16 or QF's at best, probably on penalties when their bottle will go as usual.

I dont think Kilbane could have done much about the penalty

    Rinse, lather, repeat.

Head and Shoulders; the official shampoo of the England squad.
