Recently moved into a house which may, or may not, have had a phoneline in it. I am considering getting Vodafone's telephone & broadband package. I was told by them that they can reconnect me for free if I supply them with the old number on the line. I have no contact with the previous owners btw. If I call Eircom will…

plug in the phone and dial the following number 199000 and it will repeat back the number
