Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Going soon to the Tutankhamen exhibition in the RDS. Can I use my camera there? Anyone been and knows? May be too dark to be worthwhile anyway.

Iso 25400, laughs at the dark.

I'd be surprised if you were not allowed cameras, but flashes are probably out

They exhibit only replicas, so no worries about damage. But that is technical point of view. Local rules may be different. Call them and ask, simples ;)

I used my SLR in there and no one batted an eyelid. Also there are no signs up stating you can't and everyone else was flashing away with their phones and compacts so you should be fine.

I was there yesterday and there is no problem taking shots - just no flash allowed. For some of the exhibits light is limited as areas are only lit up as the tour is going around and are on timers, with various lights focusing on aspects of the exhibit at different times. For the main exhibition - items are well enough lit - but the spotlights are in tricky locations that cause problems in themselves. Great exhibition though!! Really enjoyed it :)

Here are some of the shots I got - lighting was very poor - looking at what I got, it's disappointed so many are blurred. Ah well! Click on the image to be brought to the album..

Is the exhibit worth going too? Might head down for a look!

I really enjoyed it. It's well put together, gives a real insight into the time. You get an audio guide going around, plus there is a video section which I really enjoyed.
