    Saturday October 15th
    17 miles in 3:03:49 pace 10:48
Well i guess i know what my sleeping pattern will be like the night before the marathon.... all over the place. I kept waking up last night... i was so nervous about this run. Got into the park and met up with a few boardsies. We set off and did a 6 mile loop back to the car, i stretched had a gel and some water and we went off again and did another 6 mile loop back to the car , water gel and stretch. I decided i would go for 17miles. I could have gone for the 18 but just didn't see the point i knew i could do the extra mile but i just didnt want to ;) A good run no aches during the run i was wrecked for the last loop i have to admit, but i have done alot of mileage this week 39 miles. :) its good to be doing long runs again. Now its taper time for me

The sleep on Saturday night is probably more important - make sure you get to bed at a decent time that evening, don't drink that night, etc.

Me hardly :p...been off it for the last 2 weeks so that was enough. Time for me to get some training in for post DCM beers...I'll be knackered after all that hard work on the finish line and in need of some re-hydration after ;)

    Tuesday October 18th
    4.5 miles in 45:11 pace 10:01
Enjoyed this run in the end... despite the legs been heavy and tired from saturdays run, and the cold brrrrr. But i wrapped up. Thought there was an ache at the beginning but that soon faded. Pilates now

    Wednesday October 19th
    6miles in 59:22 pace 9:52
took the leg at least 3 miles to warm up but once it did i was flying (well for me i was) i really enjoyed this run. I am sure the 4 gels i had in my back pocket slowed me down :) (no i wasn't taking 4 gels on a 6 mile run i was practicing my carrying technique :D)

Aye you can't piddle crocked but you'd meet the other 2 .

For the record I would never beep at some poor driver to tell them to HTFU...I'd flash the lights!

    Sunday October 23rd
    8 miles in 1:26:19 Pace 10:47
last LSR and it was a wet one but i enjoyed it. I made myself do this as slow as i could as i knew i did my runs last week too fast, so this week is all about taking the runs slow. My legs felt great today, 8 miles pain/ache/presence free running today so that definitely gave me a great boost. This is the first time i felt that the leg will be ok. :)

Great to see you running and positive again after the injury blip. Best of luck over the next week staying safe and sane :)
