Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can I connect my PC to my Samsung HDTV with a dvi/hdmi cable and my Targa External Monitor with a VGA connection and get them to work similutaneously? Is this possible or must they both be connected to the PC with VGA cables in order for the TV and the Monitor to work together?

As long as they're on the same graphics card, then usually you can, should be configurable through display properties.

I don't think it would be possible to have it work, for example, using the hdmi on your graphics card, and the VGA port on the motherboard (although I understand there are some exceptions, would depend on your motherboard).

As long as on your pc's graphics card there is an outgoing HDMI socket that will go to the PC and a standard outgoing VGA port that will go to the TV, and you have the appropriate software that recognises both connected, there in theory should be no problem setting the PC up with both.

All you need is lengthy cable enough to stretch to both at the same time. I have one PC which I connect to a 42" LED Samsung HD TV via HDMI, which I then use via monitor too occasionally.
