Not sure about looking for recommendations from locals (why would they be in local hotels?) but my search is knackered and roomex is driving me mad - any one recommend any hotels in Dublin city centre?

mid week stay, close to luas/dart with onsite or close parking would be ideal. Looking at 3 or 4 stars but most hotels seem to be mad expensive in City Centre (eg. Westbury) faded (e.g. D4 hotel groups) or way out in the suburbs.

    Any ideas welcome!!!

Let me know your dates and I'll organise a quote from Academy Plaza Hotel if that helps. PM me if needed.

Yes, it's not city center, but have you looked at Bewleys Balls bridge? From 59e per night, with parking + 50 foot walk from 5+ buses all to city center + 5 min walk from Dart?

In the city center, how about the Maldron on Cardiff Lane? <5 min walk from LUAS / IFSC. + close to buses.

Thanks, will give them a buzz in the morning about parking as site seems to suggest it's paid for - never booked in time to stay there for gigs at the RDS so might be an opportunity to try it out!

I usually use the Arlington on the Quays. Decent showers which is pretty much my only quibble with hotels in Ireland. It should be required that they put it in their ads whether or not they have power showers. :D
