Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Sounds pretty bad :(
Still if it is booting up try copying data to a USB drive ?
Or tell us any error messages that occur when you try to copy.

Download and burn the iso of Ubuntu and boot from that. See if you can copy files to an external disk then.

Unfortunately, with a lot of hard drives, by the time you get this warning the drive is already at death's door. You can really only try using a live CD (as mentioned above) to see if you can get anything off it. At this stage, even trying to access the drive could make it worse.

    POOO!!!
Don't know how to boot or burn from ubuntu.
Can't copy over files as copying process stalls about a minute in!
How does this happen. Computer is only about eight months old!

Use windows system restore ,to go back to last restore point , or burn data to cds. You,ll lose all data made after restore point .
Go to linuxmint.com ,download x86 ,mint iso file ,use imgburn to burn image file, reboot pc with linux cd in the cddrive .I ,t will load linux from the cd ,allowing you to browse drive c and copy to a usb drive.
