UPC and blackberry

When I access the wifi from my blackberry the wifi to my laptop stops working and doesnt not connect. To fix this I have to plug my laptop into the router and change the channel and then change it back to auto while ensuring that balckberry has removed wifi connection. Can this be fixed within the cisco modem settings??…
