    Hey all,

I put this on arcade forums too :)
    http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=110694.0

I would not have best knowledge on Arcade Monitors. So far this is what I know. I bought a Last Bronx Sega Model 2 Cab in Dublin Ireland last week, so its not jamma. http://flyers.arcade-museum.com/?page=thumbs&db=videodb&id=3828
It is fully working dedicated Cab, with a NANAO MS8-26SU Monitor - 26inch

What i want to do is set it up for Mame,
I bought a ArcadeVGA PCi-e and gonna put this into a Mame PC,
must buy one this week, Maybe a 3.2 HT, 1GB, Dell optiplex or something like that.
Have Full MAME Set set. And using Mini Pac to USB for Control Panel. Crome LEDs Buttons and Trackball.
    Thats easy part :)

    Question is:
How to connect Nanao Monitor to ArcadeVGA.

1 I know Nanao has a Connector set to 25Htz and I know how to change it to 15Htz.
2 I know Arcade Vga Card has VGA output

How to Connect the two? I dont have much knowledge and what to do here or not.
Can I wire directly from Nanao to VGA?
Any good howtos on how to do this, pictures be helpful, total noob at this.

Is better to Buy J-PAC to go Nanao -> J-Pac -> AracdeVGA
Would that protect Monitor as only feed correct inputs and not pull anything?
Is any thing wasnt working on this monitor, blown transitior id be clueless and prob put 26 tv inside,
so what to get this right first go and know the do's and dont's beforehand

Be great if I didnt need JPAC and could use to Nanao and ArcadeVGA Card as i have these at hand,
and then only need to work out the Cable. But if J-Pac is needed then ill get one.

    Useful Links i have found:http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=73835.0
    http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=72789.0

If someone has similar cab with Pics online or something,
or could someone simply this for me, id owe ye bigtime.

    Thanks all,
    Kev

    PS:

Big thanks to Purplec for helping out bigtime during the week, legend
and ArcadeSan for supplying the Cab, its awesome.

Update what I done was got VidAmp which can connect arcadeVGA Card to monitor with

    http://www.ultimarc.com/vidamp.html
The current version of this amp is designed to be connected to a VGA card which outputs 5 volts on pin 9 of the VGA connector.
Which works fine with latest ArcadeVGA i bought.
    http://www.ultimarc.com/avgainf.html

I also got a Compaq DC8550, 2GB RAM, 2.3 ghtz Dual Core with ArcadeVGA Card 512MB, should be fine for most Mame and SF4 for PC
I install ArcadeVGA Card, Mame and try hook it all up this weekend.

Looking at monitor theirs 5 cables going to monitor board
    RED
    GREEN
    BLUE
    White = Grd
    White-Blue = H.H\V
    EMPTY Slot

VGA AMP has 6 slots too:
    RED
    GREEN
    BLUE
    HV
    GRD
    Blank Slot

Can match from Video AMP to monitor.

    Sorted

    Hey, how things buddy

Gonna Start a 2 threads on 2 arcades ive worked on later this during week now that im getting places :)

Epic fail on the Video but better than nothing, progress so far:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7xbOER8HnY

I got the Control Panel nearly there this weekend,
must decide on final design yet as its only one big rectangle at mo.
Must get some paint, replace half dozen buttons to balance it out,
must get artwork, t molding yet. I have perspex for it, 2 LED boards, MiniPac.

Hopefully attempt wiring into monitor early this week too,
but PC has ArcageAVG, but it wont run Direct3d on Windows 7,
so gameex wont load, Project 64 wont load. Error "DirectX getdevicesCap"
Mame and Hyperspin work fine though.

Looks like may need to wipe box and remove Windows 7 in favor of XP,
its a driver problem. Hopefully find fix before need to do that.

I have found a GameEx DirectDraw EXE so may try that tonight.

    Fingers crossed :)

PS More Mario Kart Cab pics needed too, im dying to see more :)

    Hey All…

    Good news and bad news…

Bad news was after over 30 hours of trying every trick under then sun,
I found out it was all a complete waste of my time.
Could have used that 30 hours to configure the bemammoth that is HyperSpin

Good News – IT WAS A FAULTY ArcadeVGA card!!!
I gave up and decided card must be faulty, sent back old one, and had to wait 2 weeks but after receiving it.
Ran ATI Cat-Uninstaller, rebooted, Installed XP Drivers and all working perfect!!!!
All taking 10 minutes vs 30 hours.
Hopefully this will help anyone else in future if having similar issue.

Tonight tried to get picture to Center and fit in the screen,
    ArcadePerfect doesn’t quite manage it.
Its 640*480 but im missing about 15% on left and right sides of Monitor.

Found Solution, on Chassis Board there is ANOTHER Orange Jumper
that u change from NORMAL to NARROW and now fits fine.

Now 1 more issue, Green lines !!!
Before I changed jumper it I had issue with green lines, like this video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImFbh1Xjr7o

    After chaning Orange Jumper,
Windows now fits a lot better, N64 emulator worked fine,
but when load game in mame the green lines go from top to bottom,
they spread out few inches apart, any ideas?

Colors can be bit off too, pinks instead of reds in some parts.
Any ideas on green lines issue? Adjust Pots? no idea which if thats it.

Thanks to Andy for sending out new card and to all for ye're help!!!
    Much much Appreciated,
    Kev

its so much hassle trying to configure these things. I gave up myself on my ArcadeVGA and sold it on, in future ill be getting a proper arcade machine rather than all this messing around. Im just using a pc now with hyperspin and similating scan lines. its not perfect but im delighted with it to be honest, the effect works well and it saves so much hassle.

Hey Keith, tell me about it,
was all down to ArcadeVGA being Faulty, but got it working just fine now.

Tonight I played with V.size on POTS on front of monitor,
I knew nothing about adjusting these, but while I lost 5 % of vertical screen on top on bottom,
but it now hides those horrible green lines. SO Happy Days,
2 months in im finally able to play games on it on a spare xarcade 2p stick... :)

    Having some issues with Mame,
having to manually tell it to run all at 384*288 and stretch on even though
I know thats not recommended for ArcadeVGA, but I dont care, looks fab.
Now all games are loading without Filcker, SF2 Alpha 3, 1943, all smooth....
Got SF4 on it too and Project 64.

Waiting on some Marvel Artwork, but then ill assemble buttons i bought off you with my CP
and be ready to rock and roll :) Ill Post log and finished product on here soon.

Hows Ur Cab coming along a followed the thread but aint seen any pics yet
U giving it few coats of paint at mo ya? Looking fwd to pics... :)

Its coming along grand, I have all the parts etc but im just priming and painting now, theres no point in updating with pics as once youve seen one coat of primer you have seen them all!

Im basically putting on a coat on all parts, sanding down then applying another coat. I just have to prime them all one more time this week then sand then im going to apply the first coat of black paint, ill stick up some pics once i have the first coat of black done.
