I'm just wondering does anyone know if say you get 30% in the exam you failed and got 60% in the repeat.

What exam result is taken into account when calculating your average for the year?

    Any help appreciated.

Your result may also be capped at a pass but should take the 60 into account, but a pass in the subject. I would talk to your course coordinator or head of department as soon as you can.

aaron - is right, your new result will be capped. Even if you get 100%, your mark result given will be 40.
So your GPA will be affected in that way only. The 100% or in your case 60% doesn't matter. There might be some mention on the results though that it was a repeated exam, but not 100%.

Hope this helps, and good luck.
