    Taken from the Tottenham website:

The Club is delighted to announce that William Gallas has signed a two-year contract extension which runs until 2013.‬

The experienced France defender has impressed at the heart of our defence since joining the Club in the summer following the expiration of his contract at Arsenal at the end of the 2009/10 campaign.

A two-time Premier League title winner with Chelsea, William has made 28 appearances in our colours to date as well as captaining the side on occasions in both the Premier League and Champions League this season.

Great news in my opinion, he has been one of our most consistant performers and has proved many doubters wrong with his performances.

Very suprised Levy gave him a 2 year deal and not a 12 month one.

He's an excellent player to have on the bench, very much doubt he'll be a regular starter for the next 2 seasons.

Woodgate received a papercut when Gallas showed him the contact, out for 12 days.

    I'm delighted TBH,

Like allot here I wasn't pleased when he signed but (as Van Der Vart mentioned above) his goal line clearance and his heroic man of the Match against Arsenal he deserves the contract on them alone.

If he keeps fit I'd be happy to have him as cover for the next two years.

Happy with this as well. The last thing we need is more uncertainty in our back line, and he's been pretty solid after a shaky first game or two. As said above, for his goal line clearence alone he deserves the contract.
