Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi, I'm wondering does anyone know anything about this lens. Its a Carl Zeiss Jena 75-300mm 4.5-5.6 manual focus Nikon fit. Cant to seem to find anything about it on the net. I've no idea how old it is, but judging by the lens hood...old.

    I got it with an FM2 in the mid 90's but never really used it. The FM2 is long gone. I'm about to sell some of my digital gear and wondered is there any market for this stuff or consign it to the bin.

    It's a weird one. Carl zeiss jena were a different company to carl zeiss, they split after the war, with CZJ in eastern germany. They made some good stuff, and some really shoddy stuff. If this is an F mount it might be designed for one of the zenit cameras that had an F mount I suppose. The weird thing is that a zoom like that is kind of uncharacteristic of anything I've seen from CZJ , though my ignorance in this probably greatly outweighs anyy knowledge I have in the area. It is a possibilty that, like nikon, canon and CZ, that they licensed their name out to one of the 3rd party manufacturers like cosina or soligar or vivitar or something, though I'm guessing that could only have happened after re-unification. It -does- have the look of a generic 75->300 slow zoom.
