Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Hope I'm posting this in the correct area.

I'm looking for the best way (and value way) to send text messages to a group, say 300 people approx. Ideally from my (or any) PC, for hopefully FREE or a low cost as it's for a club. The idea is to use to update members on important events/issues.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Woody.

(If there is a way of doing it on a phone aswell I would be interested in that info aswell)

Bulktext.ie is excellent for this sort of thing. The interface is good, you can upload numbers in CSV format, receive replies to an e-mail address etc. and it's reasonably priced too compared to using a phone plan.

hey re: bulk SMS texting..have a look at www.neonsms.ie
They have a free trial, so you could test it first. Also they are very helpful and you can easily add your numbers into a group to their system, to use again.

    good luck with it

Another option would be to use the webtext feature of the irish mobile operators. You can send messages from within the web browser, and create a "Club" group which contains all the numbers. However, the operators restrict you to roughly 300 messages a month each.
