Mortgage Documentation and people not having it

Seems like a lot of people come on here and don't keep their mortgage documentation in a safe place. It is an extremely important document and should be kept in a safe location which can be easily found. Have people become careless over the years with important documentation?

Its shocking to hear tbh.

I bet people have the receipt for there phone!

As a poster recently found out here, there is a big importance in having your documents in a safe place. Yes the bank should have a copy but it happens sometimes that they do not.
