Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

    Hope someone can help :(

I have wireless internet with UPC and I want it to be so that only 2 laptops and 2 mobile devices can use it.

I've read about MAC filtering but after that I'm clueless and don't know how to apply it.

    Anyone any ideas?

I'm using a Apple Mac Laptop too.

    Thanks

    I've gone to 192.168.1.1 but it's asking for Username / Password :(

The username : password is usually something easy like admin:admin admin:1234 You can check on http://www.phenoelit-us.org/dpl/dpl.html for the default password for your router. You should also remember to change the default password. I think its admin : password http://support.upc.ie/app/answers/detail/a_id/209/~/configure-wep%2Fwpa-security-on-netgear-router

That the password of the router. Its often written on the router somewhere or in the manual. Often its the generic password which you should change.

When you get into the router set up it will give you the option to only allow specific mac addresses.

I don't bother because often vistors use their laptops, or mobiles in the house and I want them to be able to use it without all the hassle of mac address'es.
