I spent €100 on a top of the range lock, which was an Abus/Agus.

Which of these lock types was it?

No, this was the lock I used.

I have uploaded the pictures to my own website but am not sure I can post a link to the page here?

Thanks for the empathy shown on the thread here. If you come across this bike being sold then please get in touch with me.

Thank you. That is indeed a motherf**ker of a lock. Probably couldn't be bottle jacked even if you left loads of space in the shackle.

I think the most common mode of theft with those locks (barring 60 seconds of noisy attention from an angle grinder) is to attack or remove the thing they're attached to.

Unless you were really, really stupid.

Exactly what are you contributing to this thread?

First you dismiss the OP's value of the bike as if it he should just "chalk it down". Wow, I wish i was able to shrug it off if €750 was stolen off me.

Then you blame him for his bike getting stolen. So, nothing to do with the thief then?

Then you claim (with no evidence) that the thief walked away with the lock attached.

Stop talking complete and utter s**t.

Stop talking complete and utter s**t likewise

Where did I say "chalk it down"?

Well, genius, how else did a thief take his bike when it was locked with a €100 Lock????? and the lock was nowhere to be seen
Yup you guessed it, your talking complete and utter s**t

I blamed people who lock their bikes like morons for getting their bikes robbed?
go to www.isuckatverbalreasoning.co.uk , it will help

    So yea.

So just to clarify for those who think I was actually telling the OP his e750 bike was worthless, or "chalked down"

    This:

This thread started badly and has gone downhill ever since. As a result I'm locking it

We are going to start a single "stolen bikes" thread - OP you will be able to repeat the details of where and when your bike was stolen, together with a description/picture of the bike when we have that up and running

In the meantime, no new stolen bike threads (they will be locked)

    Thanks
