    Hey folks,

It would be remiss of me not to post info about Irelands annual Environmental Science conference ENVIRON 2011 which is taking place in UCC next week April 6th-9th.

It's a great chance to hear about some of the cutting edge environmental research that is taking place in Ireland from researchers all over the country. As well as that there are seminars being run on specialist subjects such as GIS and Ocean Studies.

Check out the link below for more info:

Damn, damn, damn. Missed it. Are there any similar conferences taking place this year?

I know the IQUA Spring Meeting is happening tomorrow (16th April) in TCD as per El Sig's thread.

Also there is an energy symposium sponsored by RJK energy and ESB 27th-29th April more info at www.rjkenergy.com.

Off the top of my head I'm not aware of any major environmental research events coming up in Ireland over the next few months.

Are the EPA still holding them talks like what did in '09 (Mansion House with Jonathan Bowman)? Haven't heard much of anything recently.

They haven't announced any so far as I know.

I forgot that there is a reasonably big climate change conference (and celebration of John Tyndall's work) 28-30 September which is co-sponsored by the EPA and the RIA which should be pretty interesting.

That would be pretty class actually. Must email them some time regarding time and venue etc... Say it'll bring a crowd.
