Seeds collected from bought flowers

I collected pansie seeds last year from plants I bought in a garden centre. I sowed them in January and they are coming nicely. Lots of lush foliage but no sign of blooms. Would you reckon they are sterile/hybrids and won't flower because I bought them from a garden centre? Thanks

Maybe, or it is likely the ones you bought were "forced" and the ones you are growing naturally will merely be a few weeks behind in flowering.

Thanks! They shot up, got about 100 in cells and have been under lights most of time. Hardening off for a couple of hours a day at the moment. Fingers crossed.
