A quick synopsis for the terminally yet understandably confused: It's set a few hundred years in the future, when most people have downloaded themselves onto the internet and interact with the real world using avatars - so the opposite of what we have today. The main character, Clian, is a non-downloaded person who lives in a twee cottage in the west of Ireland. At the beginning of the show, he hides a girl who was running from Bad Guys, and she gives him a futuristic memory card that turns out to contain another girl. The second girl is very curious about the world, so he takes her into Galway (now pretty much deserted because everyone's online) in Episode 2.

Worth it for the rather excellent rendition of The Sally Gardens, sung with a thick Japanese accent, on the ending credits alone.

Dublins featured in it too. The rebel base is "granite city" which is not under the control of the fractal system. The rebels airship is parked outside the grand canal theatre! :D As far as anime goes its fairly hit and miss with its plot and execution but picks up a little in later episodes.

Another thing, in the first episode at 0.48, they refer to a place named Luimnigh! (Limerick)

At least they made an effort, I like the way they use Garda instead of police.

Enjoyed these two eps. No offense, how did this manage to avoid being beaten by the dreaded 'move stick' from Galway City to Anime? It's not even all Galway...Is that one of the mods singing Sally Gardens?:p

Oh. The ruined church in ep 1 looks really like Cill Éinne on Inis Mór too..not sure though.
