Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Kodak Brownie 8mm Video Camera

Hope this is the right place to post this!

We have just come into the possession of a Kodak Brownie 8mm video camera. It belonged to my boyfriend's grandfather in about the 50's. There are a couple of film reels with it. The camera itself is in a good condition as are the film reels. However we have no idea either how to use the camera (which also comes a blank film) or how to retrieve the movies from the used reel. Would love if someone could offer me some information on it as the movies are of huge sentimental value and I would love if we could watch them! :)

I take it you are a child of the digital age.

This will be Film rather than Video.

What is the Model of the Camera you have?

There were Brownie Movie Camera's and Brownie Projectors.

The Movie Camera is used to Expose the Film (Record) which then needs to be developed. The Projector is then used to show the developed film (Playback)
