If you're on Jobseekers Benefit and are looking to go back to College..

Hey, I've been on Jobseekers Benefit since around August I guess, it started when I was cut down to 3 days a week but where I was working closed around the start of February, I'm still on Jobseekers Benefit as opposed to Jobseekers Allowance and I'm looking to go back to college in September. Does anyone know if I will be entitled to receive this while I go back to college or must I be on Jobseekers Allowance to get weekly payments if I go back to college? . Or what are the requirments etc? Thanks

To my knowledge, you are not entitled to claim JSB/JSA while attending college full-time.

I am assuming you are applying for third level, not second level?

You will have to apply for Back to Education Allowance. To qualify for this it depends on what level of education you have reached to date and what level you will be starting.
