    I was at a show tonight where I observed a trans-gender
    person using the gents!
Now I ask, should this person have used the gents?
    Very awkward!

    Awkward for who?

Was it a cross-dresser, or a genuine trans-gender? Pre or post-op? You say you observed, so I'm just asking.

In any event, it's really none of your business.

small world .... I was at the same show and went to use the toilets during the interval and the person you speak of was doing makeup at the sink.

My only complaint, and it's an extremely petty but worth dying for :p one is that blokes like to wash their hands and get out, we're not big on people slowing the show down while they do their makeup.

    A small world indeed!

Before people get up on their soap box my question was
if this guy is playing his life now as a woman well shouldn't
he or she be using the ladies?

To be honest I wasn't in there but he was hard to miss!

Any women here that would be comfortable with a trans-gender
    using the same loo?

Its a tricky one, women would feel uncomfortable with a man in their toilets too, if he was only a cross dresser. Transgender in the ladies wouldn't bother me. I'd say guys in a hurry to wash their hands will have to get used to waiting, as the 'guyliner' users will want to fix their makeup at the sinks.;)

I think the 'This Guy' in my post gives the game away but if
you are referring as to how the person would like to be
referred to, well that's up to them!

See, I didn't know if you meant guy before or after the procedure if you know what I mean. Wasn't being on a soap-box anyway. Thought it was funny, but at the end of the day it's their choice where they go...I think? They can claim to be man or woman.

If he/she gave you a smack would you smack him/her back? Or leave him/her off because hitting women is bad? My opinion is born a man always a man. I wouldn't have any problems with the person, they can do what they want.

I wouldn't have a problem with a cross-dressing male or a transgender person using the ladies toilets, sure they are individual cubicles anyway so what difference does it make when the person is behind closed doors! It's not like in a men's loo where ye have to pee in front of one another  I agree with the OP though, if you are dressing as a woman does it not make more sense to use the ladies toilets too?

Yeah, but you have to lift up the bonnet to discover the VW engine :)
