Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does the AA recover bikes?

My insurance is up for renewal and my free recovery is now €45! I'm planning on heading to the UK, and hopefully France this year, so will need some type of recovery.

I don't mind paying the €45, but if the AA recover bikes for an extra ~€80 I could get car and bike recovery which would be more useful as I don't have recovery on my car insurance.

Does anyone have any experience of using Adelaide v's AA recovery?

I know I'll need to get more cover for France.

    Thanks

I'll give them a call later. Busy in work now.

i had the AA before, and called them out.
sent out a flatbed to try and fix the bike, when that failed, they sent a van from Dublin, to pick me up from Athy and drop me on the Northside.

so yes they do collect bikes.

If you are an AA member, they will recover ANY vehicle in which you are an occupant. Including bikes or cars that you are a passenger in.

Thanks for the replies. The best thing is when I got home from work there was flyer from AA offering me recovery for only €90.

Yep AA recover bikes took me a couple of years to realise it after pushing a bike a few times a couple of miles to bike shop. I have used them a few times- you need to tell them upfront it is a bike so they bring the right gear to transport it.
