So the structure of their government, which is good enough for the EU, is matched in their football federation and FIFA dont accept it? Crazy decision.

Agreed, FIFA and UEFA are being idiots in this instance

While I think its a bit strange FIFA would object to a local political compromise, the rules is the rules and Bosnia were given 18 months to change their structure to comply with the rules. They did not because a vested interest voted it down, so the punishment was applied.

Watch the Serbian delegation change their mind very sharpish.

Punishment to the players and manager but what did they do wrong in this instance, why are they the ones to be punished?

    Idiotic overreaction by fifa.

FIFA getting into post-conflict policy. This can only end well.

Read the article. The ethnic Serbian block refuse to back a muslim president.

Don't be so naive. If a team are flouting the rules, club or national side, then the punishment is applied at the top. They were given 18 months to shape up, the Serbian block vetoed a Muslim president in full knowledge of the consequences.

How did you get that from this?
The federation was given a 31 March deadline to comply, but the move was rejected at a meeting in Sarajevo on Tuesday by the Bosnian Serbs, who opposed the single-president plan because of fears it would jeopardise their autonomy after 28 of the 53 NFSBiH representatives voted against the motion.

They opposed a single president plan, not a muslim president. What article were you reading?

Fail harder FIFA. Utterly retarded. Where do they get off insisting that an administrative structure borne of difficult post conflict compromise be changed?

Untrue - they wanted a rotating presidency split between all three ethnic blocks. Having spent some time in Bosnia myself really FIFA and UEFA should not really interfere its just going to cause trouble.
