Second Sky box

    Probably a silly question.

I currently have Sky+ HD sub. I want multi room, but SKy's prices are ridiculous for multi room.

So I decided that FTA channels in the second room would suffice.

    SO here's the question:

I have a second Sky+ box, so can I just connect this to the LNB on my dish, and use this for FTA in the second room? (I know the recording won't work, but that's ok).

I assume I can do this no problem, just wanted to make sure :)

    You only need one connection..

Is there any way to get the recording function to work when using the box as a fta ?

No , recording function of a sky+ box needs a valid subscription .
