Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
Can you use this flash Canon 430 EX II, to fire when you shoot a on camera flash. If you use the small flash on the camera, and put the Canon flash away from subject, can this fire off a flash..... How do you set this up....

You need a trigger - either wireless or infra-red or with a cable.

The flash from the camera won't automatically make an off-camera flash fire.

You can if you have a 7D. Otherwise you need triggers as described above

I think the new 600D has the wireless flash trigger too, not sure about the 60D.

The only Canon cameras at the moment that can use the pop-up flash to fire a wireless dedicated flash such as the 430EX II are the 600D, 60D and 7D. All the others need an ST-E2 Wireless Transmitter which is around €250 in Ireland.
