Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

you should consider putting some of these on Storyful Community -- to potentially get you exposure.

Here's a thread about it. Boards user Markham is involved.

Have you any idea how old the houses were, it seams incredible that the fire should be able to spread between them like that.
Your photos could be used to demonstrate what can happen if fire stopping is not used between buildings.
    Thanks for posting-scary and informative.

They're late 1980's as far as I can recall. The speed the fire spread was incredible.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I don't know for 100% fact but was told earlier 80s. There was a fire wall between the 4th and 5th and you can see that slowed the fire down a good bit but the fire spread over the roofs still.
Apparently the the roof rafters from 5 - 8 were common which greatly aided the spread.
