View from the very windy top of Kippure on Friday Ride Description. There were 40kph winds all afternoon at Baldonnell so I don't feel so bad about how long it took me to climb it now.

I got to it through the Irish Sportives FB page. They have a posting for Cycle4DSI -Lap de Gaps and on their page there is the event website address quoted above. Very convoluted I know.
Maybe Scrappy has a simpler way of getting there?

Stunning pictures Nilhg - where in Kerry were these taken?

Healy Pass from Adrigole? Although one of the pictures looks like the approach to Ballaghbeama from Glencar valley.
There was a large group of cyclists congregating near the suspension bridge in Kenmare at 10am on Friday morning - was that ye?

If so I passed ye as I was on a cycle over to Glengariff.

Drove down Friday morning, and went Gap of Dunloe, Black Valley, up to the Sneem road near Molls Gap, pancakes, Ballaghabeema Gap, Glencar and back to Killarney.

Saturday was Molls Gap, Kenmare, Caha Pass, lunch in Glengarriff, Adrigole, Healy Pass, Kenmare and home over Molls Gap to Killarney, we would have liked to get out again for a handy spin on Sunday but time didn't allow.

Fantastic weather and great cycling country, ROK ON if I can swing it I'm going to try and make your audax down there, the timing is problematical for somewhere so far from home but you never know I might just make it.
