Went on an aimless 30km cycle from home this evening and came across some stunning roads in the hills over Galway city

    Superb. Camera? Software? HDR?

Thanks. Taken on a mobile phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) then the levels tweaked in Lightroom. Must bring the camera up some evening!

Is that out the Moycullen Road ?

It's up behind Barna Golf Course, along the road that cuts through the course.

I presume that is the Knockranny Wind farm. Those turbines are massive. Haven't seen them close up but you can see them from a good few miles off given the barren terrain in that area.

Lovely evening once the rain passed last night. Top of Cruagh road. Descent was a bit greasy so took it handy on the way back down.

View from Kippure mast last night.

With the rain finished and the water evaporating in the heat, I was up above the clouds. Cycled through them on the way there. Gorgeous :)

The Bray Head Slide (set up for this weekend). Was expecting something bigger to be honest, but at least it's a new different idea.

I saw that on some news clip. It's a tad embarrassing tbh you move at a snails pace.

Ah it'll be a laugh for the kids who get to go on it and it's a good idea in theory, but defo those looking for a thrill ride will be sorely disappointed! I assumed it'd run right down the hill to the seafront!

True. Although it looks a bit thrown together with the lilo. I'm guessing the demnd would've been lower had video been released first. I was picturing rainbow rapids tbh. :)

Welvanpas MTB Trails just outside Wellington.

No, I did not lie down to take the pick - I was already on my back and the beer had to be delivered to me there to get any level of revival...

.. the reason being: the cliffs in the pic below, are the same cliffs in the picture above.
