Myself and Mrs Saver spent a week in Mallorca, we hired a couple of Trek FX vikes to spin about on, weather was a little warm, scenery stunning, woulf defintiely do this again at a cooler time of year.

Passing through Newcastle Co. Wicklow this evening on a 35km spin before dark, spotted a magnificent harvest moon rising over the sea. Just happened to be passing this ancient standing stone at the right moment to catch the moon appearing above it so got the phone out for a few pics.

Did you check the far side of the stone for a groping couple (Fr Ted reference)?

Grim scenery in northern Friesland (Netherlands) but note the cycling infrastructure....far right for cars, middle for agricultural vehicles and a 2 way cycle path with a great surface.

I noticed how smooth it is never mind anything else. It's also handy the way they managed to avoid putting stop signs and lamp post in the cycle lane ;)

Went for a spin this eve up the mountains. Heres a view of Dublin from Cruagh woods. I find the gearing very tall on the bike but good training I suppose. Despite the warm day, I was half frozen going downhill. Was glad of my rain jacket in the bag. I probably looked a bit weird with it on on such a warm eve.

I was hoping to bomb it downhill but the front tyre is starting to crack and isnt trustable for superfast downhill twisty stuff. :(

Gah that bike is glorious! Pity about the serious security fence they have employed there that you can't get up to the gate :pac:

^ that's Hermitage as opposed to Lucan Golf Club.
Next time you are down that way pop into the Straw Hall for a refreshing beverage. Lovely pub and plenty of space outside for the bike.

Boom..true, It was a gorgeous evening all the same. Except for a little skank in a fiesta nearly killing me.

I often stop at straw hall for a water stop, lovely spot.
