    DrZeuss, did you attempt the mast?

    I considered it but the ground was quite greasy so gave it a miss (I think I was scared off, reading comments on here about it :( ), but next time I definitely will.

    -Edit: I'll be back with a picture from the mast!

    @monkeyslayer,

    Get photos, i know it's all about the photographer (and photoshop?) but what kind of camera are you using?

    Some photos taken the other day on my way up into the hills of New Plymouth, got a slow puncture shortly after and had to head home. Was planning several more stops on that cycle for photos as I don't do it too often.

    Some more from today:

    Te Rewa Rewa bridge on the coastal walkway

    The beach beside the bridge, all the sand around here is black. It's a bit wierd, and it twinkles a lot in the sunshine.

    Has anyone on this thread gotten any photos of Trinity rowers on the Blessington lake, always see cyclists having breaks and having a look. Just curious if anyone here has taken any pictures? Would be greatly appreciated.

    Lovely road to cycle on, espcially coming from the Vee into Lismore. The road from Cappaquinn though to the Vee is horrible if you get caught in terrible weather... pure misery.

    Great :).

    Can you tell me please how is your saddle bag mounted. It looks quite large and I believe it would be perfect solution for comuting and carrying clothes in it...

    Its mounted on a saddle rail support - both bag and matching rail support from carradice.co.uk. The bag extends quite large yeah, loads of room in it.

    Thank you. Would you recommend it over a rack and panniers, if you used them? I am thinking about getting a bike that will be suitable to mount a rack to the rear triangle, but this may be a better option, as it works with almost any bike.

    Its hard to say - I guess panniers are better if there is more weight. If you have less than say 5 kilos, the saddle bag might be better. I found it less intrusive. Incidentally, my bag weighed 6.5 kilos on that trip and the rail broke ( the allen bolt that holds the rail to the saddle snapped ) although I suspect it was my fault.

I have contacted Carradice about it. The max weight is 10 kilos.
    I would only carry some clothes to change over at work, so I believe it should work well. I cycled once with a back pack and it was rather uncomfortable on a road bike.
