Sheefry pass, Co. Mayo this morning. Had to stop at one point, with the rain beating into my face.

Further on at The Maum, Durless. Hard enough climb, over the other side - was around 20% grade for last 500m.

its a nice spin that one. did you go through Delphi valley?

I'd say it's most likely some poor sods car that was nicked off his driveway. Those Colts are easy enough to steal

Thats a very silly generalisation :(
What about the Dublin people and other counties represented who volunteered from here to go up and give there free time to clean said area....
I will put you top of the list for the next volunteer clean up Neris.

The authorities/SDCC are well aware that this goes on every weekend, probably every day. The locations that the scum regularly dump aren't hidden and are very much in the public eye, I'd say there is a clean up team that is deployed solely for this type of dumping.

I had taken this on a drive last week. Its just before the climb to the Hellfire Club.

It beggars belief the stuff I've seen dumped lately while out on the bike on quite roads out of town and the amount of it , I'd say 70-80% is green bin worthy which where we are are still free or there are recycle banks and plenty of them. Then there is the which electrical waste etc. We have a massive recycling center in town that takes everything, as much as you can carry up in the car and cost €3 at the gate. Now the **** I've seen dumped and where it's been dumbed took far more effort to get it there than than the recycling center ..... idiots

I passed that pile of rubbish this morning. Didn't have a chance to take a photo. I'll be reporting it this morning - do you mind if I use your photo?

It's pretty straightforward to report these things on http://fixmystreet.ie/

Edit: I just had a look and it's actually been reported already

Yes, I've done that loop a couple of times now. Must try it in the opposite direction. I think the climbs could actually be tougher that way.

It's currently in transition to a single ring up front. I smashed the larger one on a boulder so have an extender sprocket and oval single for upfront. That'll be an eye opener :D

How do the shifters work on a single up front is it single only or can you multi shift like on a road bike by pushing through on certain ones? Bike looks like all kinds of fun to me with herself here telling me to stop looking :D

You lose the front derailleur and add in a bit more range on the rear cassette. I think it's a 12-42 I'll have on the rear 30t oval up front.

It was always planned as the Rock Shox dropper post lever is a bit of a pain to mount neatly so it will replace the front mech lever. You can shift 2 up on my set up but on newer set ups xx1 etc I think there's more up and down range per shift.

Yes she is all kinds of fun get one you know you want to :D

In saying that though I had a bad off out there and landed flat on top of my head. The sound of your neck compressing is never nice. The missus wont be hearing about that one her uncle was paralyzed after crashing into a tree when out on the MTB. :(
