Appreciate that it may depend on quality, but would anyone have a rough idea of how much of your download allowance you might use up to watch a 90min football match over the internet?

As you've said it depends on the stream quality, I've seen 300kB/s right up to 1400kB/s.
    Say 300kB x 60 seconds x 90 minutes = 1.6GB (I think).

There's no may, it will definitely depend on the quality, so the question is impossible to answer. If you know the data rate, then you can calculate it yourself. It will also be slightly higher than what you calculate, so allow for maybe 10% more. This will be due to overheads that are outside of the actual data stream.
