GRlevel3 is a nice program alright, cheap too for what it does and is constantly updated by the owner Mike Gibson,

he also has a new program called GRearth and that thing is awesome, but the killer is that its a subscription service of $180 per year

couple of snapshots here of it

    http://www.stormreports.org/grearth.htm

to run it on a netbook depends on the specs, its not that cpu heavy but definately would want a minimum of 2GB ram

Everything seems to be dying up in N/E Oklahoma, still firing away down in S/E Oklahoma with still a few cells going,

keep an eye on Mark Hills stream as his approaching a tornado warned storm,

Storms about to whip through the Midwest, some may be severe. I don't think we'll get much tornado activity but maybe further south.

Just saw that. Shocking isnt it. The Carolinas are saying it might be their worst outbreak of Tornados ever.

Well above average for this time of year.

Was watching Reed Timmer near Jackson yesterday and he seemed to stop broadcasting as a big red radar echo engulfed his vehicle location. That same red radar echo hit Raleigh, 800 mile away the following day with deadly consequences.

Storms are quite likely in my neck of the woods in central Illinois. Storm system meant to develop in the afternoon, in time for me to start work.
Thunderstorms, some strong this evening with a few showers possible overnight. Damaging winds, large hail, and possibly a tornado with some storms. Low near 40F. Winds SW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 90%.

Tornado watch has been issued for most parts of central Illinois, very humid outside. Storms are meant to develop in the next few hours.
