Its only getting the PS3's ready for when PSN goes live. Europe is not back yet but should be later today and Ireland will probably be one of the last of those countries to come back.

They will be announcing on http://twitter.com/#!/PLAYSTATIONEU when each territory comes back online. It will be back later so only a few hours at most to go now!

In fairness the servers are still under pressure with people downloading the updates. If it wasnt a fazed restoration we more than likely would get two days of losing connections etc, its been nearly a month another few hours wont kill ya!!

Haha, I'm pretty calm. Its just that I think a lot of people have avoided watching the kettle boiling for several weeks now, but when Sony releases a statement saying "PSN BACK ONLINE! UPDATE YOUR SYSTEMS NOW!" you kind of think they have their shizzle together, you know?

Kinda annoyed.... they know how many people on average connect per country. You don't keep customers by stringing them along with excuse after excuse... if it's not going to be on line... just say " not today!"

I'm starting to believe they predict it like those guys in south park who predict the economy by chopping a chickens head off and seeing where it falls.

I mean is Sony not a corporate giant? do they not even know what half their own business is up too that they can't be specific about times and dates???

I don't mind the network going down... any company is open to an attack they suffered if the right people are determined enough. But how they've taken the whole cloak and dagger approach to telling customers when it comes back up is kind of baffling??? they've won no favours by doing it.

When I hit sign in on the main ps3 menu it had a pop up asking me to change password, have you tried that?
