Since Mrs Cabaal isn't always happy about the many hours I spend running and cycling back roads without any details on me I forked out the few euro for a road id, perhaps abit of a gimmick but sure makes her happy none the less.

$1 coupon for anyone that wants it for http://www.roadid.com, code is ThanksBarry4945077
The coupon is good for $1 off any Road ID order placed by May 4th 2011. To order, simply go to RoadID.com or click the link below:

No excuse for anyone not getting a $1 off now. I hope you made use of this one though:

Missed out on your one though I did find it on google searches, there's plenty around so easy enough find one :)

Went for the Fixx ID in the end as don't like stuff on my wrists other then the Garmin or my watch (when not running), abit more expensive so hoping it won't annoy me too much and it won't bounce around....figure if it does I can use the HRM strap to secure it somehow..

I don't get out of bed in the morning without some kind of medic ID on me, that's only a slight exaggeration. But was getting annoyed with the necklace thing I'd been wearing for years bouncing around when running so had been looking for something new/ different for a while.

My only issue with the roadID thing is that I'd need to buy a new one if any detail changes where before I just changed the details on the paper in the necklace thing. I figure that by then I'll have probably worn out the strap for it anyway.

Got my RoadID in the post yesterday evening, very quick delivery from the USA so happy with that.

Item is nicely finished, however somewhat sceptical about the claim it won't bounce around when I'm running but I guess I'll find out shortly.

I never had a problem with my SOS neclace thing bouncing around when running if I was wearing a t-shirt, when wearing a running vest though the cut of the neck is different so it did bounce and I ended up not wearing any ID. Wasn't comfortable not being ID'able when out running so that was part of my reason for changing to the RoadID wrist version.
