V2 and V3 gearbox - nozzle and tappet don't finish cycle in the rest position

This is something that's been annoying me for a bit - After the AEGs are cycled, be it on semi or auto, the nozzles don't come to rest in their fully forward position most of the time. It can be seen when test firing before re-assembling the guns. Both gearboxes in question are fairly customised and seem to run really well apart from this issue.

Any ideas what's causing this? It's one of those little niggles that gets under my skin!
    Thanks

Apologies in advance, I will be slow to respond to any replies cos I'll be offline for a couple of days, pretty bad time to start a thread actually! I'll check back in on Friday.

This happens to me too. Even though I just installed an ASCU. While the spring isn't fully back, there isn't as much give in the nozzle as there should be.

Despite the extra strain put on the mechbox. It could be seen as a good thing, as it means your next shot should have improved trigger response.

Ha you could be right about the trigger response thing! Still though just knowing that something is out of whack is an annoyance...

Its just over spin from the gears momentum and the motors, the actual mainspring isn't likely to be under compression (at least very little) as the tappet activates before the mainspring is drawn back anyway.

If you get misfeeds worry, otherwise it is normal. An active breaking mosfet is designed to stop this, but is only necessary where you get loads of over spin.

Cheers for that, so it's not a big dealy. As I say the AEGs run well otherwise...must get round to looking into mosfets....
