Blank texts from 171.

    I continuously receive blank texts from 171, despite not having any voicemail. If I delete the message, it keeps coming back into my inbox after a few hours. I'm on meteor, and using a HTC hero phone.

    It's annoying as hell. Anyone have any ideas as to why I keep getting this?

    Maybe query the applicable mobile operators section if they're on boards.ie?

    Just don't delete it! It will still appear everytime you switch on your phone but at least it won't be every few minutes.

    The problem is, if I don't delete it - my inbox shows up with 1 new message. So I think I have a new message from someone important, but then realise - 171 tricked me! :( It saddens me greatly.

    hold your finger on the message, then select "add to blacklist", that should do it for you. . .i vaguely remember having the same issue on my old hero

    Well read it once and forget about it,just don't delete it! Or do try the blacklist thing!
