Can white plastic cable counduit be used outside and buried undergorund in soil?

Or could white 40mm PVC plumbing pipe be used for going down into the soil in a garden.

Would either of these rot in the soil?

Its for running a few 6 core alarm cables accross/underneath a patch of garden.

Trench depth is 600mm and is allready dug.

    Thanks.:)

pvc pipe may become brittle over time plus it is tot easy to completly seal joints in conduit to make completly watertight,, would black hosepipe be an option

    Sorted now.

3/4 inch Hydrodare piping for the trench, and then plastic conduit for inside the garage.

    Thanks.:)
