Well lads tried this thread over in the food thread but didnt get any hop... hopefully some shareholders here could shed some light...

    Hi Guys,

Doin some research in fortified milk and cam e across ' Avonmore Plus' or 'Avonmore Probiotic Milk' launced it think maybe 2003 to 2005. and not sure when it went off the market.

Im just wondering can anyone remember it?
    How much did it cost?
    Any Advertisments for it?
    Why it was scrapped?

Any info would really be useful. Nothing much on the web about it. I contacted Glanbia about it also. They are proving to be tight lipped about it.

    So anything?

Was there an EU coart case banning advertising health benifits of probiotics without the studies to back it up?

I think the recession has a good bit to do with it as well. Any of these sort of products got hit with the loss of the "breakfast roll man" and with a lot of families now only having 1 at work they have time to make a packed lunch whereas before it was handy to buy those little cartons to send the kids off to school. Plus any of those yogurt things have to be on promotion very regular now or sales drop.
