Swimming with New Tattoo :/

Hey guys

Was just wondering how long to wait after a tattoo before swimming in a pool or a lake ?
and how would the water affect it ?
Would around 2 weeks be enough?
If not could you cover it with a water proof dressing ?

You may go swimming when ever you like after a tattoo a pool is actualy good for it as if softens the scabs ! And makes it heal way quicker!!!!!!!!!!

nope,you cant go swimming with a new tattoo if can get infected and you dont want that,wait at least 2 weeks

I went swimming a week after a new All black tattoo, now it looks like leopard skin, don't do it

tattoo can not be submerged in water until about 1- 2 weeks.

As above minimum of 2 weeks, although the tattoo will be fairly well healed after 2 weeks (depending on how your body heals) i'd try to avoid anything that could affect it, like chemicals in the pool etc for at least a month.

At least 2 weeks, wait until the tattoo fully healed maybe to be on the safe side ring the premises where you got the tattoo it may depend on the body part.
