    I was recently told that the Browning Buckmark Rifle semi 0.22lr is one of the common "gallery" rifles.

    Question, is this a unresitricted or restricted, it has the magazine behind the trigger and the barrell is 18". Yet I was told it was unrestricted becuase of its 0.22Lr rimfire.

    ???

    which is it.

    It's restricted, but it's a good example of a stupid edge case. As a pistol, it's unrestricted. Attach the rifle kit and it becomes restricted, not because of calibre or magazine capacity, but because the magazine is behind the trigger and according to the law:
    “bullpup rifles” means rifles with a magazine located behind the trigger;
    (c) the following long firearms [are not restricted] (not being assault rifles or bullpup rifles):

    Read this thread. Big argument. Apparently it is restricted.

    There is also no 'attaching a rifle kit'
    the Pistol and Rifle are sperate products and not interchangeable

    just in case there was any confusion.
