Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

apologies if this is wrong forum couldnt find a better place for it really and thought you guys would be in the best position to answer the question.

So, i have a vodafone 10 gb limit and was wanting to watch a 90 minute match streamed online from spain tonight with out going over the limit.

how do i calculate the usage for the 90 mins roughly and would a typical streamed match come close to the 10gb limit??? really dont want to get done going over the limit.

cheers for your help and mods feel free to move some where more appropriate if you want. thanks

Find out the bitrate of the stream. With some online videos you can just right-click them and there's an option to show the video info. For example you can do this with youtube. Alternatively you can just check the network activity to see what is coming in.

Video bitrate is usually given in bits per second. I'd say the average low quality stream is 500kbps or under. I doubt there's any football streams that are more than 1000kbps (1Mbps) anyway, unless you're talking some premium HD thing.

So for this example of 500kbps it would be:
    500 x 60 x 90 = 2700000 kbps

    Theres 8 bits (b) in a Byte (B) so 2700000 / 8 = 337500 kB or 337.5MB
