World first backups for XBOX 360 Slim
- For Liteon Drive 9504

New protection measures for slim:
* Realtime checks of drive firmware and ram by dashboard - Rootkit technology used to pass several realtime check types. These checks on the drive are open ended so as to make replay of the answers impossible. Will pass any check on any part of the drive
* Hardware flash modification check - The 1335 chip performs a hardware check on powerup for modified firmware. Chip fooled into thinking firmware is stock
* Slim drive locked to read pressed game discs only - Enabled reading of DVD+R DL media for game discs

All features of current LT+ also included
- Optimised PFI code to accomodate AP25 SS data
- Defeats current AP25 protection
- Protects console from logging AP25 violation 
- Full disc stealth used by default
- Waveless booting , disc images are assumed to be correct!
- Split-Vid used as default

If booting an AP25 title without AP25 SS game will not boot but will still be protected from logging AP25 violation on current dash 12625
If LT+ encounters an unknown AP25 challenge, game will not boot but console will still be protected from logging AP25 violation on current dash 12625

AP25 SS are region specific for region locked games

I just cracked open my Slim tonight but it's got a 0225 drive I guess I'll have to wait a little longer

Edit: MFR date is 2010/08/22 it would be great if we could determine the drive type somehow before opening the Slim as I have voided my warranty ah well...

Its could be last chance to have 9504,your date is just on the edge so....only the way is open console.

Just a heads up there is known issues with the latest JF with certain drives.

Including a corrupt Drivekey bug, which is scary.

Symptoms..

Redump of key verifies but first byte of key is changed to 00

:eek: <-- my face when i booted to the dash and all i got was 'Open tray'

But Oggy`s 'Writekey' fix which involved Reg editing JF allowed me to fix the corrupt key and write it to the drive.

New JF coming soon to adress these issues.

How difficult/simple is to dump the key on this Lite-on?

For my non-slim I needed the probe and it took an age before it gave me a good 5-in-a-row (and a similar age to write the damn firmware to the drive but at least I didn't have to hold the probe during that). Oddly when updating the firmware it wrote it perfect first time, but this was with a different computer.

I'm reminiscing! I had better stop.

The 9504 Slim, which is the only one that can be done right now is all done with jungleflasher, no additional hardware needed. Just something to power your drive and a sata cable.

The newer Lite-on 0225 will need one of the new xecuter to maximus products to do, possibly certain chipset will do but VIA and Nforce are already ruled out, which have been the most common for flashing drives in the past.

Yeap but only 9504.

9504 can be done now, 0225 is coming soon. And then there is a Hitachi slim which is in the works.
