when do you book your child in playschool and national school in gal city and area?

    there was actually a place booked in a secondary school for a child that wasnt born yet, seen the list. so during pregnancy.

    We booked our lad into preschool and primary school at 2 months and we were still quite late apparently.

    Some schools are very difficult to get into most especially the Jes and Scoil Ide (Salthill). Both provide guaranteed entry in to Jes Secondary and Salerno respectively.


    Usually, the criteria is id you live in the area, if the child has siblings in the school already and if either of the parents are ex-students.

    Birth, or before. I put my sons name down for a certain educate together school when he was 5 months old - didn't get a place.
